UNDER THE HOOD…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Originally designed as a modern high-performance take on a keel fin fish or mini simmons. The wide outline and full boxy rail give plenty of paddle power and speed in small waves. The short wide outline combined with the single into deep double concave make for a board that\u2019s fast down the line but smooth and tight through carves. It\u2019s surprisingly versatile and can be surfed hard off the tail or with light feet for those guys that like to punt. Choose the Original tail for the Original Fling experience, the hip squash for a more pivoty, top to bottom feeling, or the wing swallow for the best of both.<\/p>\n\n\n

SHELDON’S CONCLUSION…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The Fling\u2019 was a very unorthodox looking piece of equipment. The sheer width of the nose and tail of this board made it one to marvel at. In spite of this, the board was very easy to transition onto and made junky waves extremely fun. The boxy rails, volume up forward and flatter rocker made for a very forgiving feeling underfoot. In small, wind-troubled conditions it planed confidently and not once fell victim to the tremulous, uncertain feeling that northerly wind chops can cause in a board. It paddled well, had a reassuringly large sweet spot, and gathered speed effortlessly even in the most abysmal waves. The wide tail also made the board really loose, which was a nice touch in smaller surf, enabling it to release with ease. Moreover, beyond the lip surfing was invited by the excess nose area which helped to both launch and acted as a landing pad. If you\u2019re bored with surfing standard equipment in small waves \u2018The Fling\u2019 is the remedy. Its distinctive design and arsenal of small wave attributes make it both extremely fun and unique to ride. If anything is certain on this board, it is that you will have fun riding it.<\/p>\n\n\n
